xterm dies if command is not PATH

  • Subject: xterm dies if command is not PATH

A strange problem with the latest X11 (and maybe the 0.1 too):

If I use an xterm to run a command that is not in my PATH I get the usual error message but if I run the same command in the background (&) the xterm window dies.

Example:

> aaa
aaa: Command not found.

> aaa &
[xterm window dies]

This happens in tcsh but not sh (and its friends).

Is this a known bug?
