A few people have reported this but we cannot reproduce this here. When this happens, is there any crash log generated in ~/Library/Logs/CrashCatcher?

Doesn't look like it is specific to X11 though.

A strange problem with the latest X11 (and maybe the 0.1 too):

If I use an xterm to run a command that is not in my PATH I get the
usual error message but if I run the same command in the background
(&) the xterm window dies.

Example:

aaa
aaa: Command not found.

aaa &
[xterm window dies]

This happens in tcsh but not sh (and its friends).

Is this a known bug?

I have witnessed the same behavior. I used bash. It is not unique to xterms though; I have had shells inside of Emacs silently exit for no reason as well, particularly after failed unit test runs spawned from a Makefile.
