(apologies in advance if this problem has already been reported-- I
couldn't find a search system or archive for this list.)
If I have a GTK+ app open, and then I move another X11 window over the
app, I won't see the tooltips from the underlying GTK+ app when I leave
the mouse over the top X11 window (assuming it is also over the
obscured button with the tooltip). This is the expected behavior.
However, if I again have the GTK+ app open, and then move a non-X11
window over the GTK+ app, then the GTK+ tooltips appear over the
non-X11 window.
Since the tooltip disappears after a short time, and because the GTK+
app cannot intercept mouse clicks from the obscuring window, this is a
non-critical bug for me, but it may cause problems with other apps.
Configuration details:
I tried this with a few local applications, and also with gtk-demo
running on a RedHat Linux 7.3 machine (with DISPLAY sent back to the
Mac). GTK+ version 1.2.10 was used in both cases (provided by fink on
OS X 10.2.3).
I am using the X11 Public Beta (advertised as v0.1 in the "About..."
box).
