If anyone wants GLUT to be a default include of X11SDK, please file a
bug report at http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter.
In the meantime, glut is available from fink and will also be available
from the open Darwin pages.

Allow me to add that GLUT is often considered in graphics programming
classes as part of the basic OpenGL "toolset", as it were. Adding a
common library like this to the X11 SDK would come in handy for
education.
