Hello,
I don't know about icewm, but with wmaker, one of the preference panels allows
you to put a starting point for new windows (it works along with the automatic
setting). I just had mine start new windows at x=64 and y=64. It works nicely.
Perhaps icewm has a similar setting?
HTH,
David

Subject: workaround against osx menu bar problem??
hi there
i was just wondering whether anyone has been able to find a workaround
against the problem that apple's x11 places all the windows (except if
running quartz-wm) under the osx menu bar.
i'm using icewm and if i launch an applicaton, the apps menu bar is
usually well hidden by aquas menu bar and therefore i can not move the
window around. of course i could set up a bunch of aliases which could
correct this problem.. but this is kind of painfull...
any ideas or suggestions?
thanks
alex
