I have a logitech 3 button mouse too. I had to enter the logitech mouse
configuration thingy and change the "mouse-wheel-button" to emit the
"button 3" signal. By default it was set to do "double click".
Then it worked at once. Don't know if there is a similar system
configuration
panel with M$ mice.
Thanks for this tip. The M$ configuration panel defaults the wheel
button to Autoscroll. It can be changed to many things (double-click,
triple-click, secondary click, etc.) but not to "button 3".
