I'm not sure how Abi word works, but openoffice.org has a special way
to import fonts which I discovered from the OO.o help. Run the admin
program:
% cd /Applications/OpenOffice.org1.0.1/program/
% ./spadmin
click on fonts, add the ones you want (that are unix enabled via fondu)
and click add.
Perhaps there is a better way, but that method worked for me.
