Torrey,
Thanks for your diagnosis. I was aware the effect of "haxies", but I'm
pretty much surprised because it is not very recent I installed Silk.
It's been on my machine at least for four months without having any
problem with XDarwin during the period. Yes, I was always in 16bit
color mode. So, is this haxies problem specific to 24bit color?
Anyway, the following are the non-Apple system extensions I'm using,
those categorized "Other" in System Preferences:
Default Folder (set off)
Label X (set off)
MouseWorks (I can't set this off: this is a must-have)
Silk (set off)
WirelessConfig (loaded)
Did you know by any chance how to uninstall haxies stuff?
Thanks,
Kow

The crash log shown below is common for one of several "haxies". Make
sure you turn off any non-Apple System Extensions you may be running
such as Silk, FruitMenu, etc. We have seen reports for the APE
framework that it causes crashes even if it is not loaded for XDarwin.
See <http://www.xdarwin.org/forum/read.php?f=1&i=2600&t=2600> for
example.

P.S. At some point we would like to know if there is anything we can
change to make various haxies play nicely with XDarwin. Since our code
is open source and there's is not, we have to wait for input from > them.
