At a guess, you haven't opened up 'fermi' to serve windows for 'bose'.
Try "xhost bose" on 'fermi'. Check 'man xhost' and note the security
issues mentioned.

Hi list,
I just installed Apple X11.
Then, I try to run a xterm in my FreeBSD box with DISPLAY set to my
Jaguar, but the X server in Jaguar rejected it:

bose:~> xterm
Xlib: connection to "fermi:0.0" refused by server

I can't run any X app in remote machine. Any clue?
