Hi all,
I just replaced my FreeBSD desktop with Mac OS X and must say I am very
impressed with the ease of use. I have installed the Apple X11 beta and am
now happily using it to run OS X X11 apps as well as old X11 stuff on my
FreeBSD box via the network.
A question: the Apple X11 package requires me to "position" newly created
windows by clicking somewhere on the screen. This is hard, because you can
only select pieces of the screen that belong to X11 (otherwise focus goes
to another app, or the Finder). I don't recognize this behavior from my
former XFree86 experiences, is there a setting in a config file to change
this behavior and position new windows automatically?
(If it is possible, perhaps this would also be a good default setting.)
Sorry if this is in a FAQ, I am trying to digest massive amounts of
information already :)
thanks,
walter
