Are you by any chance running Unsanity's Application Enhancer on your
system. Try turning off the haxie or disabling X11 in its list of
patched applications. If not, you can log a bug a
http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter and include a crash log. Check
~/Library/Logs/CrashCatcher.

much that I stopped using X11 in favor of the much-less-satisfactory
