Hi,
Did you try untoggling the input toggles which modify the keymap in the
preferences Menu of X11?

Hi there,
I am using X11 Public Beta 3 on Jaguar in a 12" PowerBook. My keyboard
is
using a modified layout called US International that supports dead
keys.
The dead keys mostly work, except for the single quote key that
produces
a, i, g. Solving the problem was quite simple, only a matter of passing
the 'keycode 47 = dead_acute dead_diaeresis ae AE' expression to
xmodmap.
Since running xmodmap everytime I start X11 is boring, I added the
expression to ~/.Xmodmap . But unfortunately it does not work. I
checked
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc and it indeed runs xmodmap on this file. Editing
xinitrc and putting a "xmodmap -pke >> /Users/drebes/debug.txt" proves
that the command is running and having effect, showing that keycode 47
is
apostrophe before the command and dead_acute after. But when xinitrc
ends,
it is back at apostrophe. I tryed even changing the "exec quartz-wm"
line
to "quartz-wm &" and putting a xmodmap -pke after it, and even there it
shows the keycode as dead_acute, so I guess is something after xinitrc
ends.
Is this a bug? I can't file a bug since I have no ADC membership (I
have
an account, though, but it says that that feature is not available to
those without an account).
TIA,
