Unfortunately, we cannot make any comments on future releases of X11
for Mac OS X.

Hi -
Our group is planning a releasing on OS X port
of our software. This is a rather large and
involved package. The problem is that one of
our key GUI applications is dependent on X being
compiled thread safe. It seems that 4.3.0 is
thread safe, however the package I have downloaded
is a bit too rough around the edges for our users.
They would rather use the current X release.
From the FAQ I see that 4.3.0 is being considered
for a future release, my question is what is the
timetable of that release (or a thread safe release
of 4.2.X).
I am asking as if one is coming out soon then we will
be able to relase a full featured version of our software,
if there is no scheduled release soon we will have to
release a version with the threading tricks disabled.
Thanks in advance.
