Hi, it seems as if you get apple's provided emacs (in /usr/bin/emacs),

I have not yet installed anything new for emacs, so that would be it. I
did a clean install of 10.2.3 and then let System Update handle it from
there. The man page for the version I have describes the behavior I was
expecting, so it doesn't work? That's annoying.
But it would explain my problem, anyway. I guess it's another item for
my nitpicky gripe list, I have a few things I'm saving up for folks I
expect to be seeing later this month...
So now it's off to find a version I like and compile one. Fortunately
the kernel.org mirror is local and fast...
In theory, this should take care of my problem. Thanks.
