Hi. I must be doing something wrong. Why is it everytime I switch OS X
accounts, I have to delete /tmp/.X11-unix and /tmp/.X0-lock in order for
X11 to work? I tried setting the permission with chmod 777, but that
doesn't seem to help.
According to
http://search.lists.apple.com/x11-users?q=/tmp/.X11+account ... it
says it is because I exited improperly because I didn't use X11's menu ->
quit. Well, I don't usually close my X11 applications (too many opened to
close by hand ;)) before logging off or shutting down the PowerBook G4. Is
there a trick/work around to delete these tmp items at OS X login/after OS
X login?
I am using the latest version of Apple's X11 Public Beta (2/12/2003) and
OS X 10.2.4. I also have the SDK installed. The accounts are both limited
and administrator access.
I am still learning about OS X (newbie) and it is not the same as Linux.
Thank you in advance. :)
