Developing X11 apps on OS X

Hi All,

I don't know very much at all about developing an X11 based application, I am just starting out. I have a new 12" AlPB and I want to put it to good use.

So using Apple's X11 implementation, how can I develop X11 apps on Mac OS X (and run them on OS X under X11 and Linux, etc)

What tools do I need.

How do I get started?
