I'm certainly no expert, but VNC might be the most comprehensive
solution for you if you want access to the entire RedHat interface at
once.
I use parts of the RedHat interface of the RedHat "machine" through ssh
-X and it generally works very well with only minor shortcomings. As a
ferinstance, the task bar dealie allows me to launch whatever
applications I've tried this on. The gedit application has complained
before, but it launched and allowed me to use the application anyway.
But again, my guess, if you want the whole enchilada, would be a VNC
solution.
With reference to the "machine", I run Redhat 8 under Virtual PC for a
class I'm taking. If you've been disappointed in the performance of
RedHat on Virtual PC 6, you might try leaving RH at the login prompt
and use X11 to access the system through ssh -X. There is a slight
speed improvement, and the coolness factor weighs in respectably also ;)
that's all I gots.

Hi .
It has been many years since I've worked in the X environment where
I've needed/wanted to export my display from one machine to another.
However, I've got a PowerMac with a 23" Cinema and I've installed X11.
I've got a development Redhat 8.0 box also. For many reasons
(display, keyboard, access to other OS X apps, etc), I'd like to export
the Redhat display to X11 running on my PowerMac.
Is that possible -- does X11 OS X support this?
Thanks
Dalton Hamilton
