I am running gnome2 and have some problems with the new x11 beta 3,
Prior to the Beta 3 I could run gnome2 with quartz-wm
Now when I run it the gnome desktop and aqua desktop are superimposed
on one another.
(I am running gnome in an CodeTek virtual Desctop so its not a rootless
problem)
Also I used to be able to:
kill quart-wm
quartz-wm --only proxy &
metacity &
and then I would have the metacity windows manager running.
Now if I kill quartz-wm I loose the window frames (as expected), but
also some windows disappear and the ones that remain or that I start up
do not take any keyboard test entry. Hence I cannot start metacity.
Any ideas?
Gary
