The problem is Deutsch.keymapping. Your private mail and some tests
lead me to realize that. You did not follow the faq in that point.
Deutsch.keymapping removes "@" from ALT-l.
But there is something, I do not unterstand:
I have a xmodmap statement in my .xinitrc. This is executed, if
Deutsch.keymappng ist added to com.apple.x11.plist. After removing that
entry X11 starts slow and any xmodmap statement is't executed any
longer. When xterm is started xmodmap does work.
