This sounds very much like the problem I had. I would say if upgrading
WindowShade and adding X11 to the exclude list does not work (assuming
you are running that), then try creating a new user on the box and see
if the problem exists for that user. If it does not, then your problem
is most likely related to some application your runninng or non-default
configuration.
