Try putting this in your .xinitrc...
-------------
source /sw/bin/init.sh # or init.csh, if you use C Shell
/sw/bin/startkde >/tmp/kde.log 2>&1
--------------
Works for me. Brings up KDE's kicker panel on top of the OS/X screen. You
can adjust it to put it on the side if you want. The odd thing is that you
can't click on your OS/X desktop icons anymore... you have to get to them
through finder. But this works.

>>>Hi all. I recently reinstalled Fink/X11/XDarwin. I wanted to give KDE a
try independent of Quartz and Aqua.... I can run KDE.... but within
TWM.... it even does that when I run in >console mode. How do I turn
off TWM? It's really starting to annoy me.... 0_o
Thanks...
