Perhaps I am misinterpreting something but it seems there is a bug in Beta 3
wrt window geometry. When it first came out I noticed that my windows
looked as though they were placed differently than before, and I had to
readjust XEmacs geometry so that it would fit on the physical screen. I
also noticed that Pine could mung up the screen at times as though it had
mistaken the number of lines (off by one).
One of the Pine developers recommended I check the Pine debug file to see
whether Pine was resizing the window--or thought that it was. I have
discovered that even though my .Xdefault file has
Xterm*geometry: 132x55+20+15
and the command to launch Pine has -geometry 132x55+20+15, Pine thinks the
window is 132x56. However, I opened an XTerm with the same -geometry and
counted the rows, there are 56. In fact for whatever value of y I tried,
the actual height was y+1.
It isn't supposed to work that way is it?
This could explain some other strange screen redraw problems I have seen
with Beta 3. rxVT has the same problem.
