Aqua desktop will remain and you have a choice to use that desktop or

KDE desktop- they can co-exist. You can have separate backgrounds or
one, Aqua folders on the KDE desktop or not, KDE kicker and Dock or
not, kde menus or not- lot of flexibility.
What will happen to focus management? I don't like click to focus and
the fact that windows that have the focus are always on top. That's
why I use Xnest with fvwm2 in it.
