funny, i thought tcsh didn't set MANPATH. maybe you
are in bash after all? of course, what do i know?
in tcsh the syntax would be:
set MANPATH = (/usr/local/man /usr/share/man
/usr/X11R6/man /usr/local/qt/man)
or
set MANPATH = (/usr/local/man /usr/share/man
/usr/X11R6/man $MANPATH)
should also work
