Unfortunately the X11 app I want to copy from doesn't have an edit menu.
I just now installed abiword so I can copy to it, and then from abiword
to my Mac app. This seems to work, although when I first hit cmd-v to
paste into the app , nothing is pasted, but when I hit it a second time
the text appears-odd. Pasting into BBedit-lite doesn't work, but pasting
into textedit does. Not the greatest solution but it seems to work.
thanks Francois

Try selecting in the X11 window, go to the Edit menu in the menu bar
and click "copy", click in your OSX app and type cmd-v. This works for
me.
I'd like to get guidance from others too on why the cmd-c in X11 does
not do the same thing as selecting from the menubar though...
I don't have a user .Xmodmap btw.
