This is relevant: this is the Fink package corresponding to Paul
Vojta's version. I get the same errors and xdvi bombs out. I
think Paul Vojta may be looking into it: the same report appeared
a couple of weeks ago in comp.text.tex, and he requested the
panther man page for setsid. I don't know if there is a fix.
The package xdvi-22.77-1 overrides xdvi(k) which comes with
tetex. You _may_ have some luck by uninstalling xdvi-22.77-1 and
using that, but I doubt it: currently the xdvi(k) which comes
with tetex _as built by fink_ segfaults.
Apparently this is a shared library problem as set up by the fink
package. I rebuilt tetex using darwinports and xdvi works. That's
what I'm using right now. You may get the same result by building
tetex yourself.
