I sent Gary Clow a private message on how to fix this. In case there
are others trying to get Matlab running on a machine that has never had
an X11 install It isn't nonsense. If you install Apple X11 over
Darwin Matlab works. It doesn't work with a clean install of Apple
X11. For all here's what you do. Install Darwin, Install Matlab, then
install Apple X11. There are apparently some version name files that
are needed. You can put them in by hand, but the installs are quicker.
I found all the files on one of my Macs but found that the multiple
installs method was faster. Incidentally you can get a copy of the
script to run Matlab under Apple's X11 from:
http://www.esm.psu.edu/~ajm138/matlab_utils/
his was from the Mathworks page and was later removed
If someone has a list of the files that need to be changed, I'd be
happy to get them, but Mathworks is going to have a version for Panther
anyway.
This was from the Mathworks page and was later removed
