I have experienced the same problem, but only if don't do anything for
a while. Typically after a break. It seems to me that there is a
timeout which breaks the connection somehow. I am not quite sure but
how far as I can remember this problem did not exist with earlier
versions of either OS X/ X11 or Solaris.
Are your Fonts OK? I still have the following problems with Solaris 8.
Anybody has an idea?

Hello,
I'm trying to solve a problem I am experiencing with running
applications from my Sun through an X terminal on my Mac.
I run several applications (such as netscape, mail, StarOffice, text
editor windows, etc.) from my Sun through my OS X machine by using X11
and I have been experiencing frequent occurrences of these
applications suddenly losing their frames and freezing up on my
screen. This happens to any and all applications running through X11.
These frozen applications cannot be moved or hidden, and in most cases
cannot even be closed, because the frames have disappeared. If I'm
lucky I can save my work and quit some of these applications using
their menu bars. However, most of the applications I have to kill
their processes from my Sun's command line or just kill the X11
application altogether.
Has anybody had this problem or know how they can help?
My company's IT department has basically told me that they could not
help me and did not even know how to search for this problem on the
Apple Support site.
Thanks,
Deane
