AFAIK, none of the fonts are designed by Apple, so they don't show up as
such:
xlsfonts | grep -i monaco
-altsys-monaco cy-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-ascii-0
-altsys-monaco cy-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso10646-1
-altsys-monaco cy-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-iso8859-1
I have the fink applesystemfonts package installed, but I don't think
it's necessary (but it might be, or I wouldn't have mentioned it ;)
