Dear listers:
I have the above scanner. Bought it from the Apple Store in
November last, together with a Brother 5070N Printer.
I connected it to my USB Hub, and I've been very happy with
it, putting a lot of old family photos through it, both prints &
slides.
The problem is, it stopped working altogether. I don't know
when, as I didn't use it for quite a while -I was sick- and there
isn't anybody else who would use it in my apartment. My UPS doesn't
record anything, so it wasn't power -console logs show while I was
sick only crontab jobs would run...
But it just won't be recognized by the Mac! I reinstalled
software; went through all the installation again -using the FireWire
port this time- NADA.
I fear something happened to the scanner itself which is not
apparent, but can't think what!
Any of you gurus out there with a solution? (Or a request for
more, pertinent information on my part...) Epson FAQ's don't tell
about my problem.
