One thing you might try is using pbcopy in an xterm.
pbcopy reads from standard input, and puts whatever it reads into the aqua clipboard.
also, pbpaste writes whatever is in the aqua clipboard to standard out.
I run X11 in full screen mode, and pbcopy/pbpaste is pretty much the
only way I've been able to copy/paste between X11 and aqua (barring the
'screen' program which is kind of a special case, since it can be accessed
either in X11 or in aqua)
