I've deleted ~/.Xauthority but nothing changed. If I click over X11.app
I get only xterm.
How can I get the fun menu bar and the execution of .xinitrc?
I know that's strange. Apple says that if there are not xinitrc, X11
start xterm as it is harded coded in xinit.
but in this case I have xinitrc!
More: in the xterm opened by X11.app I have problems of path:
kerush:~ kerush$ export
declare -x ANT_HOME="/usr/local/apache-ant-1.6.2"
declare -x DISPLAY=":1.0"
declare -x HOME="/Users/kerush"
declare -x JAVA_HOME="/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Home"
declare -x LOGNAME="kerush"
declare -x OLDPWD
declare -x PATH="\$PATH:/usr/local/john/:/usr/X11R6/bin"
declare -x PWD="/Users/kerush"
declare -x SECURITYSESSIONID="210ff0"
declare -x SHELL="/bin/bash"
declare -x SHLVL="2"
declare -x TERM="xterm"
declare -x USER="kerush"
declare -x WINDOWID="4194318"
declare -x __CF_USER_TEXT_ENCODING="0x1F5:0:4"
as you can see there is something wrong in the path...
I can also see in the console:
[DRI] screen 0 installation complete
Screen 0 added: 1280x854 @ (0,0)
sh: line 1: cat: command not found
But if I type /Applications/Utilities/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 in the
terminal, everything works very well and xinitrc is executed.
What you think is that?

Try deleting your ~/.Xauthority. If you are using two monitors make
sure the one with the menu bar does not begin below the one without
it. I run this script to start Gimp:
tell application "X11" to activate
do shell script "export DISPLAY=:0 && source /sw/bin/init.sh && gimp"
It runs correctly if X11 has been started or not.
(I use tcsh)
startx does not generate the same menu bar as launching X1.app this
normal.

I have a problem with X11.app in macosx 10.3.8.
I have ~/.xinitrc and /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc but when I run X11.app
from the icon in applications/utilities,
i get only xterm as x11 default startup program. If I run "startx"
from the terminal I will get everything
specified in ~/.xinitrc but I don't get the quartz-wm menu bar with
the list of applications, I get only the X menu bar without the list
of applications.
More, if X11 is running (started by command line), and I click over
gimp icon, it says that there are no X11 running, but if I start gimp
from command line another X11 environment is kicked off, but this
time it reads ~/.xinitrc and it kick off the X11 menu bar with the
funny applications menu (that's what I wont by clicking over
X11.app).
X11 version 1.0 - XFree86 4.3.0, installed by apple's bundle cd.
I've attached the .xinitrc file<xinitrc>
