I think you can do the following: In a shell, type '/usr/X11R6/bin/X :
1 -cc 3' (replace 3 for the desired visual). Now set the display to :
1 and it should work.

Basic question: where are the X11.app configuration files? Basically
the equivalent to the XF86Config for XFree86.
I need to change the way Visuals are defined when in 24 bit mode,
but I can't find the configuration file. Obviously I can switch
between 24 and 8 bit modes, but I need control over the actual
Visuals.
