If a user has Mac OS X 10.3 with X11 1.0 already
installed, then upgrades to 10.4,
and does not specifically select to install X11,
the X11 that they had stops working.
We have pointed users to the Apple web site where
they can download X11 and
install it, but the version on Apple's web site
tells the user that they already have X11
and refuses to install. If they go get their
OS CD, they can install X11 from that.
Why can't the version on the Web site work for
either version of the OS?
