Qt/X11 reads LANG or Font from MacOSX?

Hi,

I use Qt's Linguist to localize a Qt app.

I've used the app in Japanese environment on MacOSX 10.4 for a while. Since I switched to Chinese to see how Finder and some others look like in Chinese environment for another work, Linguist uses Chinese font to display my translation work. This is the same even I changed MacOSX's setting to Japanese in Preferences. So, my question is:

how can I set the default font in Qt (esp Linguist)?

Or,

Does Qt/X11 read some MacOSX environment variables regarding language/ font?

I tried another account to make sure everything goes well with Japanese. So, this is from some setting in my account. I also tried qtconfig to change the default font, or set LANG and LANGUAGE.
