Hi. I'm not sure if this is an Darwin problem or a KDE problem, but I
thought I'd ask here since I've never seen this problem under any
linux distro.
Keyboard combinations involving arrow keys behave, well,
irregularly. I can go in the KDE Control Center and set them however I
like. However, they are always passed to the application, even if I
have set them to a window-manager function. For example, I like to use
Ctrl-Alt-Right to move one desktop to the right. I can go into the KDE
control panel and set One Desktop to the Right to Ctrl-Alt-Right, and
the Control Center happily displays Ctrl-Alt-Right. However, if I
press that combination, the application receives the signal rather
than the KWin (and it reacts how it would normally react to the
signal, which is typically badly :). If I assign this same key
combination to some application short cut, say Move Konsole Tab to the
Right instead, then in Konsole Ctrl-Alt-Right will move the current
tab one place to the right, as it should.
If I set the window manager shortkey to a keyboard combination not
involving arrow keys (for example, Ctl-Win-L), then that also
functions correctly. Wierd!
Anway ideas what the problem is? I guess I should also contact the
fink people. Thanks for reading this far. :)

to fix a travesty they didn't create. Their program promptly found
its way onto un*x systems everywhere. Today, still opposed by a
software monopolist, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you share
their vision, if you know you can help, and if you can connect to
internet, maybe you can join... the K-Team.
