Everything was working fine under Panther with the X11.app manager. Now, under tiger, the Pin-able windows under Xview can not get focus so they are never sent events. They will work fine under OroborosX but not under the Tiger X11.app. Does anyone know why this might be, or is this a bug? If so, where do I report it?

I have experienced this bug (+ a misconfiguration) and already reported it. Then the misconfiguration was pointed out to me, so I told apple that it was *not* a bug. It is, but in truth, for my usages, I prefer this bug, and had previously posted to this list last January trying to figure out how to get behavior like this. So I am sort-of happy with it now.

Anyway, details of my bug (and the correct config option which converted it from a serious bug to a feature (for me)) are discussed in the sci-vis list here: http://lists.apple.com/archives/ sci-vis/2005/May/msg00000.html

More details that are application-specific (to IDL) are discussed in this thread: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/comp.lang.idl- pvwave/browse_frm/thread/a2c4c8a401d89bba/90b0f1a510999660? tvc=1&hl=en#90b0f1a510999660

And finally, I went to http://bugreporter.apple.com/ and my report was given Problem ID number 4111057. The last thing I posted was that they should close it because it is behaving as I want. In truth, you are correct, and it is still a bug. Please reference my Problem ID in your bug report, and if you want, let me know what Problem ID you get assigned, and I will tack it on to my bug report.

Hope this helps,
