I'm a novice on mac,(some experience on Redhat)
I have installed a Darwin for x86 version 8.x for my Intel P4 machine.
As i suppose this distribution doesnt support GUI.
I downloaded the darwin-ix86-6.x from the XFree86 and followed the Instal.txt in it.
but
$ sh Xinstall.sh (which was successful)
$ XFree86 -configure (Returned COMMAND NOT FOUND)
I then added /usr/X11R6/bin to the PATH and executed
$ startx (scolded me finally getting out and
inetd: file not found)
How can I start the GUI?.
I'm in a fix??? I do not know what went wrong.
thank u.
