In the stock installation of 10.4.x Tiger, the manpath command
is used to set the paths for man pages based on the settings in /usr/
share/misc/man.conf. However, xterm windows that open under X11.app
appear to define a MANPATH environment variable, and do not inherit
the settings in /usr/share/misc/man.conf. Is there an X-windows-
specific configuration file that can be used to change that MANPATH
variable and/or (preferably) tell an xterm to use the settings from
manpath? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. (FWIW, I'm using
bash as my shell.)
