Hi Roy,
This is a problem that i had also. This is related to the USB port.
Since i use the Logitech premium optical i don't have this crash anymore.

Hi Rich,
I've also had this problem since installing 10.4.2 on a blue & white G3
a week ago. It also has a logitech mouse. I've found that disconnecting
the mouse and plugging it in again frees it up.
My other machines (G4 twin processor and G4 laptop) do not exhibit
this problem. But they do not have logitech mice either.
Cheers, Roy

I just wanted to see if others are having this issue and make Apple
aware of it.
I have a Logitech scrolling USB mouse and run OS 10.4.2. I use the
scrolling feature a lot in xemacs. Every couple of days or so, I'll
be scrolling through a document and all of a sudden X11 becomes
completelyl locked out with respect to my mouse and keyboard. It
just stops responding to all events. I cannot drag windows even. I
guess this is a freeze in X11. There is nothing in system.log or any
other log I can see. I have to force-quit X11 to get it going again.
This only happens when scrolling through xemacs documents using the
scroll wheel on the mouse. I do this a lot and it only happens every
couple days or so. So I keep doing it. :-)
But it sure is annoying.
