All,
Thanks for the help!
Setting nolisten_tcp false did the trick, sorta.....kinda.....
Here's the annoying thing: I set nolisten_tcp, startup X11, do xhost + in
the xterm, fire up KDE from the Linux farm, and it comes up in rootless
mode. I want root mode, so I go to X11 Preferences, and select full-screen
mode. Works great, except for one thing. When I set full-screen mode, it
deletes com.apple.x11, so it loses the nolisten_tcp setting. So, I re-set
nolisten_tcp, fire up X11, and it's back to rootleess mode. It appears
setting full-screen mode clears nolisten_tcp, setting nolisten_tcp clear
full-screen mode. You can't have both. I'm sure it can be done with
scripting or some clever hocus-pocus, but good grief! Why on earth design
something to behave so stupidly? I finally threw in the towel, and went
back to the crappy Reflection/X on my PC, until I can intall Linux on my PC.
My only conclusion is Apple really doesn't *want* people using these things
as X servers for anything but applications running local, or those that
support xauth. Just seems odd to me....
Regards,
Ray L.

The other question I would have is do you have the Mac's Firewall on and
running? I would immediately turn it off if you are secure in knowing what
traffic is on your network.
