Mozilla 1.7.13 is the last of its line. The next line is Seamonkey. I
use Mozilla running under X with the gtk2 engine. I would like to build
Seamonkey the same way.
I cannot get past the xpcom directory because in compiling that code, it
insists on needing Carbon Frameworks. Mozilla 1.7.x does not and
compiles with gtk2 as instructed by configure.
Have any of you X11 users gotten an X-based version of Seamonkey to
build and run?
I am not looking to compile Camino or a MacOS (carbon) version of the
suite. Mozilla under X is very stable; I can keep it open with multiple
tabs for weeks. I can't do that with the Carbon or Cocoa versions (or
even with WebKit-based browsers).
