In an xterm, you can just middle-click to paste. No menus required.
You can specify the color of the insertion point with -ms "colorname"
on the xterm command line. But it should default to the foreground
color. If you have white text on a black background, for instance,
the I beam should be white.

I created a directory .icons in my home directory and copied a "theme"
and symlinked it, but X11 isn't using it.

BTW -- any good docs on using X11 under OSX? For example, why I have
to shift+(option+click) to paste instead of just option+paste?
