My company produces XEphem, an X11/Motif based astronomy program. In our lab we have successfully built a Universal
Binary version of our product on a powerbook (ppc). Once X was installed on our macbook both this UB and the original
ppc executable ran without incident. The only difference was the UB version ran about 2x faster than the ppc version
running under Rosetta.
