Scisoft and X11

Hi there!

I'm trying to install the scisoft package on my PowerBookG4.
Scisoft contains programs and software suited for astronomers.

I followed the authors installation procedure first changing the terminal from a bash shell to a tcshell and then sourcing the software. I also deleted the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.x11.plist in order to change the x11 terminal from bash to tcshell (some applications like IRAF are more tcshell friendly). scisoft packages run now on the terminal but not on the xterm which continues to be bash.
How can I change the xterm settings?

Can you help me?

Thanks,
Silvia Vicente
