You can also choose it as an optional install without installing the
whole shebang, or else as someone else suggested just find the .pkg
(installer) file on the install disk and double click on it.

I am a fairly new user to the OS X platform. I am trying to
install X11 however the only way I have discovered so far is to do
a fresh install and choose the custom installation with X11
selected. When I purchased my PowerBook from the Apple store last
year they apparently didn't seem it was necessary to install it.
Does anybody have any suggestions or places where I might look for
information on how to install X11 without having to do a re-install
of the operating system?
I appreciate any help and/or information anybody could provide!!!
Thanks!
