Xquartz-1.2a3 binary released by bbyer

I just tried the Xquartz-1.2a3 binary released by bbyer at http://people.freedesktop.org/~bbyer/x11app/xorg-server-1.2a3/ and while it fixes the yellow cursor for me it adds a new problem.  When I click on an X window to activate it and bring it to the front, it activates it and gives it the focus but it does not bring it to the front.  The Xquartz binary released with Leopard doesn't have this problem.  I'm not sure which is worse: yellow cursors that I can barely see, or not being able to get a window to move to the front when I click on it.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

David
