Even after doing this you may still get the warning about no xauth
data. I'm finding just that happening when I connect to a particular
remote Linux box. (The connection seems to work, although it takes a
very long time (like, a minute) for an xterm from the remote host to
appear. I don't have the same problems -- slow connection and the
warning -- when connecting from a slower machine running Tiger on
the same wireless network, or connecting to other remote machines).

Be sure that, on the address.com machine, you have enabled
X11forwarding.
Check /etc/sshd_config, set "X11Forwarding yes", and then restart
ssh (turn
remote login off and then on in System Preferences->Sharing)

I have tried now for a while to figure this out. I am trying to
connect to a remote machine with this command:
ssh -Y address.com -l username
I have also tried -X instead of -Y. The remote machine is running
OSX 10.4.10. I am using Ben's latest release, and I am not
setting my $DISPLAY anywhere (I do have the remote machine's
display set in a .bashrc file, but that shouldn't matter right?
Anyway, I get the following error when I connect:
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11
forwarding.
If I type echo $DISPLAY I just get a blank line returned.
Anyone have any ideas?
thanks,
