GTK+ installation problems

  • Subject: GTK+ installation problems
  • From: Jing Tang <email@hidden>

Hi,

I'm trying to install gtk+ on Mac OS X 10.4.10 and came across some problems with X11.

I installed XFree86 on my computer and when I tried to X11 on my computer, it gave me:

"you cannot install X11 on this volume, newer software already exists on your computer."
When I tried to install gtk+, it gave me an error like:

"checking for XOpenDisplay... no
configure: error: *** libX11 not found. Check 'config.log' for more details."
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Cheers,
