To all working on this problem (especially Eric and Ben!) thanks for
the great update. The drawing speeds in my X11 app of choice
(NMRDraw) have increased tenfold. I'll benchmark the speeds against a
Tiger install we have and provide some quantitative feedback soon.
I've noticed one quirk with 1.2a6 - while it speeds up graphics on my
C2D MBP, it doesn't do anything to improve drawing speeds on my
colleague's G4 powerbook. However, applying the
"CGDisabledCoalescedUpdates" trick to X11's info.plist makes the
graphics fly on the G4 powerbook. Is 1.2a6 Intel only?
Thanks again,
Sameer
